In this paper we present a framwork, for the progressive delivery of Web do cuments in mobile hLternet services. Progressive delivery enables users to get fast, access to themost relevant partsof a do cument. The central part of tile delivery consists of concepts to determine the most relevant do cument parts for successive delivery maintaining the documents' readability To make this selection as flexible and effective as possible we considerthe user's notion of relevancetogether with semantic author annotations told structural document characteristics. Using XML technology do cuments are automatically adapted to fit both personal user profiles told device constraints. A prototypical mobile news service exemplifiles our approach to cogent selection, but our framework promises to be applicable to a broad range of future Internet services.
