There has been an increasing need to migrate legacy systems to new hardware and software development paradigm because the legacy systems present problems such as high maintenance cost and lack of documentation. All organization must overcome serious challenges if they are to remain competitive in today's fast changing business and technological environment. Legacy system cannot evolve to provide new functionality, they keep on running on obsolete hardware and maintenance is expensive. In this paper we have analyzed the different ways in which a web based solution can be provided for the technological requirement of legacy systems and focuses on the web-based development solutions. This research is implemented using sound software architecture.
