The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) is considered as a new standard for data representation and exchange on the web. XML opens opportunities to develop a new generation of Web sites which allows to access and to treat their contents. Indeed disadvantage with HTML Web sites is that mainly HTML language describes how documents are presented to the viewer rather than describing the contents of documents. In this paper, we propose an approach based on XML to design dataweb offering powerful tools of search and extraction of the information. In this approach the conception of a dataweb is based on three models: a structural model a navigational model and presentational model. The system of search and extraction of information which associated to a dataweb is founded on a concepts base composed of a base of meta-information and a domain thesaurus. It allows an interactive search for relevant documents (or extractions from documents).
