Abstract

We present some applications of a software tool based on genetic algorithms. Soft Computing Genetic Tool (SCGT) is able to solve in an interactive way, user defined searching problems. We will illustrate the use of the SCGT as a "Genetic Algorithms Benchmark". Graphical results, showing us the behavior of genetic algorithms depending on different control parameters for a given problem, are included. We believe that the influence of the genetic operator on the behavior of the genetic algorithms is different from problem to problem. So "which type of genetic operator performs better" is still an open problem.
