Abstract

This paper introduces a new off-line fuzzy segmentation algorithm to separate cursive Persian / Arabic typed texts. Precise boimdary detection of typed characters is the main feature of the proposed method. The method is applied into some sample texts. The simulation results are very promising indicating 95% error free segmentation performance.
