A method for isolating and removing noise sources in single channel, unaveraged MEG recordings is presented. By combining tools from the fields of information theory and dynamical systems, we seek to decompose MEG time series into their underlying generating components. A simple technique is introduced for extracting components ofin terest and results from the application ofthese methods are presented. Traditional low pass filtering is also performed as a comparison to demonstrate the advantage ofour methodology.
