We discuss information maps and patterns defined over such maps. Any map is defined by some transition relation on states. Each state is a pair consisting of a label and information related to the label. We present severalexampl es of information maps and patterns in such maps. In particular, temporal patterns investigated in data mining are specialcases of such patterns in information maps. We also introduce association rules over information maps. Patterns over such maps can be represented by means of formulas of temporal logics. We discuss examples of problems of extracting such patterns from data.
