In this paper we propose the architecture of a generic fault-tolerant graphical environment, and a tool to customise it for a concrete environment. This graphical Environment for Programming Distributed Applications (EPDA) is tailorable and includes support for deployment and dynamic reconfiguration of distributed applications. Its minimum functionality comes from the development of an Environment for Programming Ada Distributed Applications which has been adapted to Glade and to the Group_IO communication library. It can be installed as robust to guarantee the continuity of its service in presence of node failures.
