Abstract

The aim of the First ECOOP Workshop on XML and Object Technology was to bring together researchers working in the objectoriented field to discuss how object-oriented technology can be exploited in data management solutions for XML [14] and which issues require new developments and further investigation. The workshop consisted of a number of presentations of reviewed papers and of discussions on various aspects related to the main topic of the workshop.
