Abstract

This report summarizes the ECOOP 2002 Posters Session. Posters provide an easy and informal means for presenting ongoing research to the ECOOP audience. In ECOOP 2002 eight high quality posters were on display during the conference period. The main topics addressed by the posters were dynamic inheritance in Java, self-optimization of software applications, finding and correcting performance issues during as well as after development, separation of computation and coordination, providing tools to extend the functionality of Java, cheking of UML models and assembling software systems from distributed heterogeneous components addressing functional and non-functional requirements such as Quality of Service.
