First the ideas of Arthur Koestler about hierarchical organizations, so called Holarchies are introduced. Then applications of Holarchical Networks are discussed. As an example the decomposition of automata as needed for the design of ASICs is investigated. For this, an OOP framework of classes for easy implementation of Holarchical Networks is developed.
