In this paper we describe the main features of an implemented parallel object server that we have developed for storing fine grained objects. The motivation was to support a data repository of a CASE tool for a heavy-loaded multi-user environment and to test the suitability of parallel computers for this purpose. We present the results of our experiments concerning the speedup and the load balance of the system.
