Abstract

Abstract: This paper presents the DEM (Data Exchange and Management) architecture, an information exchange facility for virtual enterprises based on the OMG's CORBA. This facility enables different cooperating organizations to exchange data between autonomous systems in a flexible manner. The architecture provides access to information and services across system boundaries, locations, data representations and organizations.
