Abstract

We present a new notion, Optimistic Trust, which may serve as a useful design principle for a variety of practical application protocols. Specific arbitrator entities, eNvestigators, on which Optimistic Trust relies, are introduced. A new practical electronic election protocol based on the new approach is outlined.
