Abstract

This article addresses the issue of building models of cognitive processes suitable for computer simulation. The approach is the application of an object-oriented modeling technique to models in Cognitive Psychology using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a basic formalism. The idea is displayed by an elaboration of a UML-description of the spatial structure of the model of focused auditory attention hypothesized by Broadbent (1958).
