Ad-hoc wireless networking is a natural mode of communication in ubiquitous computing. In this paper, we study simple and efficient ad-hoc network routing algorithms and protocols tailored for a centralized information sharing system composed of a data repository and many remote devices. The proposed routing algorithm uses REFRESH packets that the server floods periodically to the network to set up paths from remote devices to the server. The path from the server to a device is established when the device sends a packet to the server.
