Abstract

A major task in building applications for electronic negotiations is the modeling and specification of the negotiation process flow and the negotiation object structure. Due to the inter-organizational character of electronic negotiations, the standardization of processes and object frameworks is crucial for the success of negotiation applications. ebXML is an emerging standard in this domain. In our paper, we apply the ebXML framework to the task of modeling interactive bilateral multi-attribute electronic negotiations. For this purpose, we introduce the negotiation process flow underlying our application scenario. We use the ebXML Business Process Specification Schema (BPSS), discuss its applicability, suggest modifications and add data models for the electronic negotiation domain.
