We propose the Fanky system, a facial animation tool applied to faces of 3D agents. The tool is based on an object-oriented architecture, where the face is subdivided into a set of regions called Standard Anatomical Components, each provided with its own deformation and animation parameters. The deformation algorithm of Fanky is mainly founded on a FFD based technique for the facial deformation of the character. We adopt the MPEG-4' Facial Animation Parameters as a description format for facial expressions and animations.
