Abstract

The TMN architecture and its standards provide the foundation for much of the recent developments in public network management. Since its inception, the marketplace, technology, services and players in the telecommunications domain have changed and continue to change. To remain useful, the TMN architecture must evolve to support such developments. This paper presents an investigation into the current status and possible future of TMN.
