Abstract

We test some envelope-following methods for first-order differential systems against their counterparts for second-order systems. While this latter kind of methods are more efficient than the usual second-order designed solvers, they only are more efficient than the envelope-following methods for first order systems in problems without dissipation of orbital dinamics.
