Abstract

An ontology can be seen as an specification of a domain knowledge conceptualisation. Nowadays, ontological engineering is a widespread manner to achieve knowledge reuse and sharing that has been applied to clinical domains. Ripple Down Rules is a user-centred approach that allows users to perform knowledge acquisition as well as system maintenance. In this work, we show an approach through which users can specify conceptualisations and perform knowledge acquisition and system maintenance. The approach has been applied in oncology.
