Abstract

Applications of optical code division multiplexing (OCDM) to multi-tera bit/s photonic network are introduced. A high spectrum efficiency OCDM/WDM transmission as a link technology, and a transparent virtual optical code/wavelength path (VOCP/VWP) network as a node technology are experimentally demonstrated.
