Abstract

This paper describes the development of a new Data Acquisition and Control Laboratory at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (A&M-CC). The laboratory is being equipped with state-of-the-art instruments that offer several capabilities, including internet-based experimentation, process variable measurements and analysis, control system modeling and design, signal and image processing, and sensor technology applications. This paper presents the major components of the laboratory, describes the interfacing of the components into fully operational systems, and discusses the interdisciplinary educational and research capabilities that the new laboratory supports.
