Book DescriptionDigital signal processing is an area of science and engineeringthat has been developed rapidly over the past years. This rapiddevelopment is the result of the significant advances in digitalcomputer technology and integrated circuits fabrication. Many ofthe signal processing tasks conventionally performed by analogmeans, are realized today by less expensive and often more reliabledigital hardware. Multirate Systems: Design and Applicationsaddresses the rapid development of multirate digital signalprocessing and how it is complemented by the emergence of newapplications.
