This paper describes a queuing model of a distributed database system that is made up of three major components: database server, data-base requester and computer network. It shows that this model is useful for capacity planning and worth studying in more detail to provide more accurate capacity planning information. Since there is no related work in DRDA, this is the first attempt to attack similar kind of problems.
