Abstract

This paper advocates a response oriented software engineering method (SEM) that provides (1) support for expressing system level knowledge created during analysis and design and (2) strong traceability of system level concepts from earliest analysis to coding, testing, and evolution. It first briefly exposes the problem that the current software engineering methods have vis-a-vis traceability of system level concepts and then describes an instance of a method that addresses this problem.
