Abstract

With rapid increase of popularity of wireless LANs a necessityof forcing usage rules arises. This paper describeshow to force users to follow usage rules in Public WirelessLANs. Problems discussed in the work are methods of revealingrogue DHCP servers and users using their own IPaddresses, which are not issued by official DHCP server.Every method considers also stopping such users from violatingthe usage rules. The proposed solutions are custommade for the test network, but general ideas are applicablein any wireless or wired environment.
