We present a declarative approach to spatio-temporal analysis of geographical data. We introduce a logical language, MuTACLP+, providing a set of temporal primitive operators that allow the user to perform temporal reasoning on spatial data stored in a geographical information system (GIS). Moreover, the language supports some modularity features, which permit to partition knowledge into separate modules that can be combined to obtain complex forms of reasoning. We describe the general architecture of a system that connects MuTACLP+ with a GIS. Finally, some examples of spatio-temporal analysis in the field of event planning and environmental monitoring are shown.
