Abstract

This paper shows an architecture for providing us with security services in CORBA based environment. We design it to follow the CORBA security specification and implement a prototype using a commercial product. The platform provides common security mechanisms such as authentication and access control for CORBA based applications. It also has the security context management function, which is responsible to protect the message contents. Applications can be established using the secure service interfaces on this platform. Therefore, this architecture gives us the base to deploy the secure applications. This platform supports many secure characteristics, which are described in the specification, and also provides the connection to the external security services. We can deploy it to the information infrastructure.
