Stereotypes provide a mechanism for extending thevocabulary of the UML. Present UML-based formalismsfor Geographic Information System use the concept ofvisual stereotypes in order to represent geographictypes. This paper extends the expressiveness ofstereotypes currently defined for geographic types anddescribes an algorithm for the computation of visualstereotypes resulting from aggregation operations.
