This paper presents a visual approach to the representationand validation of multimedia document structures specifiedin XML and transformation of one structure to another. Theunderlying theory of our approach is a context-sensitivegraph grammar formalism. The paper demonstrates theconciseness and expressiveness of the graph grammarformalism. An example XML structure is provided and itsgraph grammar representation, validation andtransformation to a multimedia representation arepresented.
