Papers on general arrays, arrays of arrays, nested arrays, etc. have been in the literature since the early seventies. Many of these papers give readers the feeling that the subject is intricate and requires a large number of functions. Much of the problem was the lack of a notation for talking about such arrays. This paper will discuss a notation for arrays that contain arrays as items and show that the concept of such arrays is easy to comprehend.
