Abstract

The paper is divided into four sections. The first section describes and introduces the dynamic problems that are involved in the interaction of short-run investment, financing and operating decision with forecasting and managing cash flows. The architecture of the system is described in the second and third sections. The system adopts a forecasting model and a relational database and support the language APL. The model integrates different statements to simulate “what if” and provides a tool for analysing the components of cash inflows and cash outflows over twelf time periods. The database model uses the language APL for defining, storing, accessing and modifying of data of the enterprises. The first experiences are given in the fourth section with an example of application.
