Abstract

A method is discussed for combining flexibility in defining 3-dimensional geometric shape with system maintained integrity. Such capabilities allow the user to concentrate on local considerations in modifying design databases in an interactive environment. The System discussed in this paper attempts to accommodate the mixed use of three classes of shapes occuring in design: linear, flat and solid ones.
