Abstract

A simulation model is described which simulates the executive system for the Automatically Reconfigurable Modular Multiprocessor System (ARMMS) a spaceborne computer system being designed by the Astrionics Laboratory of the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The model was developed to test the effect on system performance of the software logic and execution speed in the resource allocation and task dispatching subroutines of the executive. Simulation results are discussed which led to changes in the initial executive system design.
