Abstract

An analysis of policy options for management of logical support of U.S. Army combat operations in limited conflicts (contingencies) is contained in this paper. Development and testing of a SLAN simulation model are discussed and a method of analyzing policy options presented. Results indicate that support can be enhanced through development of an improved priority system for supply allocation, development of supply centers in other than the Untitled States, and through use of systematic diversion policies.
