Abstract

After a decade of discussion and debate over the need for and methods of software engineering education, some implementations are finally beginning to emerge. Some are carried under the umbrella of computer science or management science, and others are Master's-level software engineering programs designed for working professionals. In this paper we will discuss the current status of graduate-level software engineering programs, with the main emphasis on the latter type, i e., those educating the working professionals.
