Abstract

Productivity is one of the most critical of our nation's economic problems. [1][2] Productivity is very difficult to measure, but has been defined by economists very simply: “Basic output divided by basic input”. Whatever we determine these “basics” to be in white collar work, in order to increase the output/input ratio we will need the following: reorganization and/or automation. Probably large amounts of both will be required.
