Abstract

In the last few years, structured programming and structured systems design have become increasingly popular. Recently, there has been considerable application of structuring to the front-end of the systems life cycle, in particular to the requirements definition process. This paper discusses the experience with one methodology the Langston, Kitch Structured Systems Development Methodology (SSD), and forecasts what the major developments in requirements development will be in the 1980s.
