Abstract

We propose MUCH(A Multimedia Collaboration Home Study System) on the DooRae framework in the CBM (Computer Based Multimedia) based.DooRae(Distributed Object Oriented Multimedia Application Crafting Environment for Collaboration) framework(or platform) for MUCH supports the application development of the collaborative multimedia environment connected with the network(PSTN,LAN, MAN,WAN)[1,21.]MUCH has an interaction, various communication type, a question and an answer, multi-session, application sharing, high degree of efficiency, high degree of cooperative, low degree of periodical cost which compare conventional home studies with MUCH. Also, various supplementary functions such as video conference and voice conference for MUCH are what makes face-to-face education effective. Whiteboard which resembles chalkboard in classrooms displays instructor' s lecture notes and on top of that graphic devices which can add, emphasize and revise for smooth and harmonious lecture.Much supports real or non-real type, also it does not restricts on space between a teacher and a student into cyberspace made by network. This research has been done creating multimedia- based study system for home PCs in network environment. Most of home PCs is used by stand-alone mode, with no interaction, in monomedia-base. But MUCH will contributes to change the Home-PC for better use of collaborations among teachers and students through various modes of interactions in cyberspace.
