In the context of object-oriented component development, quality criteria are increasingly relevant. This proposalintroduces metrics based on a qualitative factorizationcriterion. Our approach takes into account the notionof generic feature, which is a set of features semanticallyconnected and partially ordered by specialization. Thesemetrics help designers to evaluate the quality of a hierarchyH in reference to another maximally factorized organizationof H by construction of the Galois sub-hierarchyassociated with H . We present and discuss our preliminaryexperimental results.
