Abstract

Security in collaborative peer groups is an active researchtopic. Most previous work focused on key managementwithout addressing an important pre-requisite:admission control, i.e., how to securely admit a newmember. This paper represents an initial attempt tosketch out an admission control framework suitable fordifferent avors of peer groups and match them withappropriate cryptographic techniques and protocols. Openproblems and directions for future work are identifiedand discussed.
