In this paper we present a graphical UML-based notationfor writing ODP actions and policies, which can bedirectly mapped to Maude specifications. Our approachmay introduce important benefits to the (usually ambiguous)UML specifications, such as formal support, provisionfor rigorous specifications, and easy access to Maude'stoolkit. We have developed a tool for automating the translationprocess and for giving access to Maude's analysistools. In this way we try to bridge the current gap betweengraphical and formal notations, by providing an easy-to-useenvironment for modeling enterprise business systems withUML, but still with formal support.
