Grid computing system is different from conventionaldistributed computing systems by its focus on large-scaleresource sharing, where processors and communicationhave significant influence on rid computing reliability. Most previous research on conventional small-scaledistributed systems ignored the communication time andprocessing time when studying the distributed programreliability, which is not practical in the analysis of gridcomputing systems. This paper describes the property ofthe grid computing systems and presents algorithms toanalyze the grid program and system reliability.
