The requirement of complex data structures and efficient algorithms are strictly connected in graphics. The use of languages suitable for facing such need has led to sophistacated programming techniques (functional, logical, object programming). Also procedural programming, however, can provide idoneous tools to handle complex data models, which are realized according to modern criteria of software development.
