The experience obtained by developing, delivering and modifying three courses on embedded software is discussed. Also the goals and reasons for developing these courses are explained. The courses are - "Introduction to real-time software engineering", "Software dynamics" meaning timing analysis of software, and "Real-time software engineering environments". All the courses address the starting stages of software development and are biased towards studying timing correctness of systems and software.
