Abstract

This paper describes the requirements for the platform for processing WebServices that work with commercial transaction services, such as e-marketplace.As an example of implementing these requirements,eCo-Flow is introduced. eCo-Flow allows modeling of business processes by combining structure-type flows with transition-type flows, both written in XML. Among others modeling considerations,an explanation is given of the method of controlling the state held by the platform and the state of the window displayed on the Web browser, which can be readily changed by the user. The long-term transaction implemented in eCo-Flow is compared with the conventional short-term transaction. In particular,it is explained that, among the ACID properties of transactions, consistency and isolation have been expanded.
