Abstract

The dynamic composition of existing services into newservices is at the core of service-oriented computing. Theobjective of FRESCO (Foundational Research on Service Composition) is to develop a framework that serviceproviders can use in order to model, develop, and executecomposite services. The FRESCO framework will includeconceptual tools, such a models for service compositionand aggregation. The framework will also include technology elements, such as an integrated development environment and specific component of the infrastructure forservice execution. A methodology will be given for the useof the FRESCO framework in the development of composite service solutions. In thi paper, we describe the mainaspects of the approach to service composition adopted inFRESCO.
