Abstract

This paper presents a brief survey of current research inintrusion detection for wireless ad-hoc networks. Inaddition to examining the challenges of providingintrusion detection in this environment, this paper reviewscurrent efforts to detect attacks against the ad-hocrouting infrastructure, as well as detecting attacksdirected against the mobile nodes. This paper alsoexamines the intrusion detection architectures that maybe deployed for different wireless ad-hoc networkinfrastructures, as well as proposed methods of intrusionresponse.
