To provide a support for consistent and controlled cooperation between software development processes is a key issue in the design of software development environments. As such, it is one of the main concerns of the Coo research project. We describe briefly the Coo model which is based on a cooperative transaction model. Then we show how the Coo framework has been designed and implemented, on top of P-RooT. We emphasize our bottom-up approach to provide the services that allow further experimentation and assessment of the Coo proposal. Finally, we describe how, from the experience gained during this stage, the Coo project is going to evolve.
